My tools of choice are my canon 7D and the Nodal Ninja 5 pano head. Also the Promote Control is an invaluable tool for shooting brackets.
On the software side I rely on ptgui and photoshop. Nothing special.
Generally I like to shoot them at pretty high resolution. The resulting hdri is something like 20k wide. After scaling down you have a nice sharp image.

Thanks Brain,
i ve a 5d and a manfrotto 504, the Nodal Ninjia stuff look very useful.About the promote control:Do you think that setting the 2 sec counter before shooting can be the same ?
I don t plan to sell my images here, is just about creating my own HDR images for environment and reflection.

The Promote Control is not a timer. Actually it completely controls your camera via usb. Sets all exposure parameters. With that you can make brackets of any size and helps overcome the 3 image bracket limitation of canon cameras.
It also has great features like hdri timelapse and the new beta supports focus bracketing.
The nodal ninja is really cool. It is so precise you can nearly use templates for redoing stitches.
