My website is not displaying properly just showing directory I contacted my web host for support and they replied

“Thank you for your email. there is no index file thats why it is showing directory index. Please ask your web developer to upload index file.”

any idea how to fix my website? it’s a wordpress website. Thanks

Did you install Wordpress? Check index.php and Database? Permissions in public_html?

No I installed Wordpress months ago and was working fine and I haven’t updated my site for a while so there should not be updating issues.

Pre-install Wordpress, there is a lot of missing files on your server. I hope you have backup…

Thanks for the info I don’t have backup XD. Is there any way to restore the missing files?

Download wordpress extract to local drive, then upload to server, but do not overwrite files just skip exsisting files, after that check wp-config.php to enter database name etc… Or maybe you can try to fix it over CPANEL if you are using Fantastico.
