You know the window were we all had like wireframe look, or texture shaded view and the like? Now in lightwave you can have in that space, a full preview of the final render and interact with it.

in luxology modo if you play with the interface, move and arrange some windows around, you can even see the preview as a big window like in lightwave. modo drawback is that render engine is good but can’t be compared with the one from lightwave. also is missing way to many features.
Anyway thumb up for newtek to get out this simple and obvious idea of placing the render preview inside the working window. I’m impressed with the hypervoxel preview also.

Secondly… by now, most if not all 3D packages support interactive rendering in one way or another, and while we’re at it, gpu prices aren’t exactly what they’ve been either, so what’s the point of “what and who did what first” ?
