Well it something changed with the rules? Last time I read about it was not possible to upload those type of things. I don’t say is a bad thing, but I want to know if 3DOcean policies have changed to accept this models. And only the car are accepted or we can upload airplanes or electronic products?

An official answer could be awesome. Like mandatory :)

I find this a bit confusing, too. I had a couple of items ’’soft rejected’’ because i had brand names and logos… like the x6 phone for instance.

Hoping for an answer.

Cheers !

You can put the real name of the car in the title of the file for example “Dodge Viper SRT10 ” but you can’t have the logo’s for “Dodge” or “Viper” anywhere on the model.

Hope this helps!

I was told that we couldn’t show logos anywhere! It is also in the site rules when uploading items. I asked this question a few days ago about a model I’m working on, if I was aloud to even have the name of it in the title.

Maybe they have permission from Range Rover? :s

That the only reason I can see why it has been accepted and not soft rejected because of the logos. I guess we’ll have to wait to hear from a reviewer. :)

A reviewer accepted my item with logos at first, then a manager soft rejected it, a week later.

So… it is getting a bit complicated.

Hi :)

Yes sometimes a thing is missed here and there….. but the policy as I understand it is that you can model and create any object you would like but CANNOT use the actual logos or trademarks of that item. For instance a Mac laptop can be modeled and mirror the specs exactly… but if you place the Apple logo or branding on it you will receive a soft rejection asking to remove the logo.

I do not make the rules :) and can at least understand a bit why this is in place to protect the author as well as Envato.

As far as items being approved and then soft rejected like mentioned above… well I am only human :) There are checks and balances to catch these items that get through sometimes.

I hope this helps… I know the upload instructions are due for some updates and Matt has put in the update queue to clear a few things up!! Matt may want to add to this?
