Hey there creative nation,

We have a new marketplace. Woohoo!

But wait a second… Weren’t such tutorials distributed for free on the Tuts+ networks ? Would the tuts+ networks die ?

By the way, now the ’’contributed a tutorial’’ badge can be history :silly:

Any ideas ?

Cheers !

I addressed this issue in another thread. It is hard to say what will happen. I kind of hope that this marketplace will be home to what I call “Ultra Premium” tutorials. A new breed of super high quality that can be found nowhere else and where the high quality standard requirements of the other marketplaces comes into effect.

That would be an interesting niche.

At an industry low price of 5$ ? maybe…

This is the clear sign that designers are going to multiply like bunnies :D for 5$ -2$ if prepaid, you get a premium tutorial from one of the masters…

why should envato ever stop with the tuts+ network? they make lots of money with the sponsor ads and subscriptions, and aside from that there are million of people who more like to get all tutorials for $9 which is a pretty sweet deal! that’s never gonna die

the Tuts+ Network gonna stay… they uploaded the same tuts on the marketplace because people who have no tuts+ subscription can buy those tuts, maybe they like only 1 or 2 tuts and for them it’s not worth to pay for the subscription… and cuz ppl wanted to buy the Rockable press books with their earnings…. that’s the main reason why they made this marketplace.. also they uploaded only the best of tuts+

if you wanna hear the official answer to your question, they explained all in the latest community podcast, go download it here http://notes.envato.com/podcasts/grab-the-latest-envato-community-podcast-all-about-the-tuts-marketplace/
