Really awesome looking model! Congratulations.

I do have a maybe silly question… given its polygon-count, how would one make use of this tree? (beyond rendering instances), as even a single tree together with a more complex architectural model can reach a whopping 4-5 mil polygons. Does one render them out separately, with alphas only to later composite the file in photoshop?

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Kind regards, CB.

Thanks,

It is not a problem actually … If you make use of it as vrayproxy (or other render engine proxy type) you can have many of them in one scene – hundreds even… I use a 12gb ram systems but it can work on less depending on how many you have in view.

Cheers.

Thank you so much for replying. Given my current 4gb ram limit, out of which only 3 are being used due to it being a 32bit system, I think the problem still applies. Nonetheless, I’ll be upgrading to 16gb, with dual-quadcore in the following month, so that should bring some joy. Bookmarked! :D

Cheers, and once again, thank you for your reply, and great product.

Cb.

I’ll try to make that work on 2009 too.
