Really like the look of your ABC -Banner and purchased it! Attempted to follow the 3 step process. Copied my images into ABC _Banner_HDTV.psd. Had no idea that I would need to render using “After-Effects CS4 .”

“Just replace existing jpeg files with your file and render, everything is ready and pre-keyed!”

Can you suggest another way to render?

Hi George,

First, thanks for buying!

Second, you don’t need to render in after-effects, unless you are trying to put video files on the banner and then render in 3ds max with vray. This is how I got animations to show up on the banner.

Once you open ABC _Banner_HDTV.psd file, and place your images, all you have to do is save out the jpeg and overwrite the old jpeg that was used on the banner. In 3ds max, the banner will automatically update with your images and will be ready to render using vray.

Hope this clears out a bit of confusion, but if you have any further question, then you can contact me at: fm@finalmethod.com

I have done this.

"Once you open ABC_Banner_HDTV.psd file, and place your images, all you have to do is save out the jpeg and overwrite the old jpeg that was used on the banner."

How do you do this?

"In 3ds max, the banner will automatically update with your images and will be ready to render using vray."

Try this:

1 – Open max file of the banner

2 – Go to file (or 3ds max icon on top left corner), then click on “manage”, and then on “asset tracking”

3 – Inside asset tracking window, click on “file” -> “refresh” this will show all the linked files in your scene.

4 – Now, under “Full Path” you see links to jpeg files that banner is using, those links are probably still linked to my computer, you will have to re-link them to your new jpegs.

5 – Next to the ABC _Banner_HDTV.jpg (or whatever jpeg name you see), Right click on S:\000_DATA\0_3DCollection\ABC_BANNER\MAPS\

6 – Click on “Set Path”, then click on button to the right with 3 dots …

7 – Find the folder where you saved your jpegs, and double click on your jpeg.

8 – Click “OK”

9 – Save your max file, and reset max.

Once you open max file again, your jpeg should show up on the banner web.

You might have to correct all the links in the asset tracker to your folders on your computer. But it should now work.

Try it and let me know if it worked. fm

Thanks for the prompt response! I have no way to open MAX file.

Are you able to help?

I don’t really understand the problem, the file should open if you are using Max version 2009 and higher.

I do not have capability to open MAX file.

Sorry, but can’t help you there, you need MAX to use this item.
