I’d really like to see where and how you use these cream tubes, so feel free to show you work here in the comments.

it’s working with modo? I mean, i can use and change what i need using modo? Thanks

I don’t have access to modo so I can’t tell you this with absolute certainty. Keeping that in mind I would assume that modo can import an OBJ. I included this file format specifically to allow other software to use this model. The UV-mapping is included in the OBJ, but you will most likely have to build you own shaders/materials and lighting. I hope that helps.

I just bought this mockup and the UV mapping is horrible. I can’t place real graphics on these bottles because the mapping is all over the place.

I’m very sorry the way I laid out the UV maps doesn’t work for your graphic assets. The best way to approach this might be to use the included JPEGs to layout designs on the tubes. In the folder “[3D-format]/textures” you will find versions named “Tube_UV_layout_[size].jpg” that include the UV-layout so you can see which parts go where.

It’s generally not very easy to unwrap cream-tubes in a usable fashion. Ideally you’d have a flat map that then gets twisted and squashed in the shape of the tube, much like it is done in reality. The problem with that is the fact that the tubes are modelled very differently in 3D and you never have the “flat” sheet of plastic to begin with. The included UV-unwrap is as good an approximation of the mapping as I could create while making it reasonably easy to apply designs to the front of the tubes.

Would you know why the file will not render all the way? I’ve tried a couple different render options and the file still won’t render the full picture.

I just opened the file with the latest Blender version and it renders just fine using standard Cycles settings as well as using GPU rendering. It might take up to half an hour even on modern machines, though, as I chose high quality settings for the final version. Your rendering time may vary depending on your settings and hardware.

Can i edit this with Photoshop? Just want to make sure if PSD files are included in the download

There’s no specific Photoshop-file included and I wouldn’t recommend buying this item if Photoshop is all you want to use. While this is possible in theory it has proven to be an overall undesireable workflow. I’ll update the description accordingly.
