Solar System - scaled Planets and Sun scene

This is a scene of the Solar System in which the sizes of the planets and Sun are scaled; distances, on the other hand, are NOT in scale, so you can use this scenes (and the models provided in it) to show the different sizes of the bodies in the Solar System.

About the scale of the objects: 1,000 km in real universe = 1 m in 3D scene; so, for example, real Earth diameter is equal to 12,756 km; 3D Earth diameter is equal to 12.756 m in the scene.

Made in 3D Studio MAX 2012 + V-Ray Adv 2.30.02 and in Blender 3D 2.77 + Cycles, then exported to other formats.

Complete scene has 29654 vertices, 29632 quads; quads only.

Each sphere has 2626 verts, 2624 faces (5248 tris), quads only; ‘Saturn’s Rings’ mesh has 768 verts, 768 faces (1536 tris), unwrapped, quads only.

Each object is available in: scene (V-Ray 3DS MAX, Blender 3D + Cycles), 3DS, FBX, OBJ.

UV Layout Maps resolution: 1024×1024 for Planets, 2100×2100 for Saturn’s Rings; Texture resolutions: 2048×2048.

12 Object (Sun, 9 Planets, Moon, Saturn’s Rings); 1 simple Material (both in V-Ray Adv 2.30.02 and in Cycles for Blender 3D 2.77), uv-unwrapped (non overlapping uv layout maps) and textured.

Please notice that PLUTO Texture is fictional; Venus Texture is a map of the SURFACE of the planet.
