If you?re looking for a realistic, true-color Mercury texture for your 3D renderings, then look no further!
Nearly all commercially available Mercury textures are either low resolution, have visible seams in their composition, or don’t reflect the true color of the planet.
As I wasn?t able to find a suitable texture for realistic views of Mercury from space, I decided to make my own! This hand-crafted texture has been modelled on true-color images of Mercury in visible light. However, as high resolution, true-color images don’t exist of the entire surface, some Moon textures have been used to fill in the gaps. So, although this may not be 100% accurate, it’s still one of the most accurate Mercury textures available at such a high resolution.
If you?re looking to make visually accurate space animations and images, then this is a must-have image in your texture library!
Diffuse and normal maps are included, all in JPG, PSD, and PNG formats. The PSD consists of one flattened layer. 4000×2000 pixels.
Only the textures are included, the 3D rendering used in the preview image is not included.
