Hello and welcome to my profile.

My name is Nathan and I’m a writer, cartographer and worldbuilder.

Pen9 Writing is my creative brand – which means it’s the brand I freelance under and do all of my creative work such as writing stories, scripts, drawing maps and building worlds etc.

I’m the founder and writer for The Worldbuilding School – a website dedicated to the process of building fictional worlds for story writing.

I also run the DeviantART group The World Builders Guild which provides writers and artists a place to draw inspiration for their own world building.

I also draw maps for clients. My cartography portfolio can be seen on DeviantART

For my day job I’m the Web Content Officer for an award winning university.
