Samanta Leone was born in Rome in 1980.

As a child she cultivated her passion for drawing, especially cartoons and illustrations. After graduating as a graphic designer in 2001 she continued her studies as a designer in the “Roman School of Comics”, specializing in comics. At that time, she found its launch pad in France, where she met an artistic agent who gives to her the opportunity to exhibit her own works in Saint Savin and Troys. With these outstanding Samantha got her first contacts with the world of work in the field of publishing.

In 2004 she founded a micro publisher with a writer Luca Belloni, they called it AbsoluteBlack. The idea of creating this label was created thanks to the creation of their first self-produced comic, that it has been sold in all over Italy: “The graveyard of sleeping children”, drawn in part in Manga style. From 2005 to 2010 Lion & Belloni released the entire series consists of five volumes. This serie received a lot of success from the public.

At the moment Samanta is working as a freelance and she produces book covers and magazine covers, usually dark or horror themes, she also works as cartoonist and graphic designer.
