Cartoon Manta Ray by Wobblefin Studios. (*3ds Max Version)
This is the 3DS MAX Version of our Cartoon Manta Rig. It is rigged and textured in 3ds Max 2013.
The rigging is done in CAT along with some custom wired parameters for the face and eyes. Most of the work was put into the skinning and thus has a very flexible form when deforming the rig to achieve maximum results for animation.
The texturing consists of a mix map with one 4096px texture and normal bump map and another base texture mixed into a solid color with a vertex paint selection mask. The blend is not perfect but underwater it will be hardly noticeable and you can always adjust it later if you wish.
Included in this version will be the .obj of the model and just for good will we are throwing in the zbrush base model too!
There will be a maya version of this character created soon so stay tuned if you have need of the Maya rigged cartoon Manta Ray.
The character comes with a studio lighting setup using Vray and renders really fast.
